TGIF: Molecular gastronomy with a twist

Heston Blumenthal was recently featured in “Private Eye”, a british satire magazine (found via Aidan Brooks). They included the following recipe for boiled eggs:

  1. They forgot step 1.5!!!

    1.5: develop new strain of chicken which feeds only on snails and arugula. Raise new chicks carefully, select the 3rd egg produced after the vernal equinox. This gives the best dietary balance of piquant, richness in the finished egg.
